Electronic Textbooks - Becoming More Financially Viable

E-book readers continue to grow in popularity. It seems like just about everyone in the personal electronics business has either launched one or is about to launch one. The end result of this is that the price of the hardware is coming down - the Amazon Kindle now costs just $259 - $100 less than when it launched in February of 2009. What this means - among other things - is that the economics involved in the production of electronic textbooks now makes even more sense than it did previously (and it made a lot of sense previously). The benefits aren’t just financial of course, more frequent revisions - made easier by the digital storage media - should provide a much better learning experience.
