Extra Money for Christmas

With the current recession on my husband and I had to shift for his job to a different state and take a significant pay cut.  We are definitely thankful that he still has a job however we are left looking for ways to make extra money to handle the tight budget that we live under.  Especially coming up to Christmas we are trying to get some extra cash in order to buy presents for each other and the children.  I am looking at sending some of my old, unused gold jewellery into one of the postal gold companies.  I hear that you can get a decent return on gold and I think it would be an easy way to get some extra money, especially as I have not worn most of those items for years.
