Back in the early seventies, disco music was largely heard on our radios, nonetheless, a new form of music was about to break onto the scene.Clubs and ghetto’s were opening up all over New York and, rebelling towards disco music, DJ’s began to mix download loops and began to talk to the crowd to get them involved and thus the hip hop culture was launched.The Sugar Hill Gang with ‘Rappers Delight’ was one of the first commercial successes and they paved the way for other hip hop favourites such as Run DMC.Hip hop styles are changing all the time and are becoming progressively more popular around the world.
