Does your doctor believe in curing panic attacks?

I’ve been a victim of anxiety and panic attacks as far back as I can remember.  Somewhere around the third grade I began being bullied by classmates and the stress was too much for my body to handle.  At that time, it was not easy to determine what the source was because I wasn’t always willing to speak out about the bullying.  But, as we sought help from one doctor to another, the diagnosis basically remained the same.

However, one general agreement was that the doctors had no methods for curing panic attacks.  Every medical professional we saw indicated that it was part of my personality to feel so anxious and that in time I would learn to cope.
