Can Tooth Whitening Remove Tetracycline Stains

Tetracycline is a medication that could affect the color of your teeth. Unlike with other stains such as stains due to smoke, tea, coffee or wine, tetracycline stains are not easy to remove but there is treatment to remove these particular stains. The same procedure of tooth whitening  will work with small modifications. The bleaches used are normally stronger than the ones used on other types of stains. Since the stains are in a deeper position of the enamel layer, the whitening agent has to penetrate the outer layer and go in through pores of the enamel layer to reach the stains.
