I was going through my best friend’s photos page of her engagement. For some reason, as I was browsing through each photo, it also made me smile. They just looked so happy, probably the happiest engaged couple I have ever seen. You could just see how their relationship is full of bliss. I want to get them a great gift – a large coffee maker maybe? One that my best friend could use when we all have our get together. I’d rather have a coffee party instead of tea. I should start hunting for that great coffee maker! Gift hunting is one of the joys of having friends who are soon to be wed – a great excuse to shop!

I think that I have fallen head-over-heels madly in love for the first time in my life. This woman is everything I could ever want. She is beautiful and smart and has a great sense of humor. She is also practical and compassionate and unpretentious. I can be myself with her. When I have free time, I go online to look for unique girlfriend gift ideas. I know that she doesn’t expect frequent presents, but it’s just another way I can show her how much I really care. The more time we spend together, the more I am getting to know her heart and her dreams. She is definitely at the center of mine.

The half a gallon of defy stain that is left in the shed should cover the new wooden wishing well that I bought at a garage sale. My parents had one when I was a little girl and I guess that it just makes me feel really young. So, when I saw it at the last garage sale I went to today and it was in great shape, I gave them the full price of ten dollars that they were asking. I am going to have some lunch and then get the defy stain applied to it so that it matches the deck in the backyard.

My mom has been having the worst time since she had her credit stolen. It all stemmed from her losing her purse at the store. Someone took it out of her shopping cart. She reported it to the police, but that’s none little good. They went in and charged up her credit cards just like that using Western union transactions. They were wiring cash to themselves. Her social security card was in her wallet and apparently they opened new credit accounts too. I wonder if she’ll actually ever get this sorted out.  Right now, she doesn’t have a single credit card in her name.

We, unfortunately, attach a negative stigma to step parenting and make things more difficult by not accepting them as our own. We seemingly fail to give children the credit they deserve when, no matter how subtle the differences may be, the child will always pick it up. This accomplishes nothing more than create tension and animosity for all concerned. You will find life much more enjoyable and have less headaches when you treat them equally to your own children. I just barely have been landscaping my property and have had so many ideas I’ve been so excited about that I needed to get it posted. My favorite one is about what I’ve decided to do with my backyard structure that I’ve ordered and had built for me.
